From past 15 years Gurudev LalithaKala academy has been conducting Bharatanatyam, carnatic music and other activities every year.

  • Monthly Bharatanatyam performances, debate.
  • Classical and Contemporary workshops.
  • Anniversary (cultural festival for 2 days, specially for students- by the students).
  • Gurudev has also been conducting state level dance competitions in 3 levels- sub junior, junior and senior and awarding the winners with the title “Natya Mandhara”,”Natya Varshini” and “Natya Sammohini” and given an opportunity to participate in various activities of Gurudev. During the same occasion Gurudev has recognised over 80 scholars around the state, felicitated them and has tried to enlighten the audience with their inspirational lifestyle.
  • Gurudev has been conducting Thyagaraja- Kanaka- Purandara Aradhana festival every year. On the occasion, amateur and professional artists of the city render Sangeetha seva.
  • Gurudev has been conducting several dance dramas and dance productions are being presented in the Music & Dance – 2 days festival every year. Different and new concepts have been taken for the various dance dramas.
  • Gurudev Presenting Several Salangai Poojas and Rangapraveshams has been organised for junior and senior students to show their talent and encourage them.
  • Gurudev has been successfully training the students to appear for the Bharatanatyam Junior, senior and Vidwath grade examinations conducted by Karnataka secondary Board to secure 100% distinction every year.
  • Gurudev has been not only presenting their dance productions in the state and national platforms, but also presenting them in the rural platforms to bring about awareness and appreciation of the traditional Art form in all class of the Audience.
  • Gurudev is also organizing ‘Gurupadarpanam’ a unique Classical Dance and music Festival every year at Jaganmohan Palace. This festival is specially dedicated to show honour and respect to the great gurus of the classical Art field. Seminars are also being conducted during this festival to discuss about the teaching and learning aspects of Art in order to improve the Quality of the traditional Art form.
  • Residential Odissi Dance workshops are being conducted by Gurudev in Guru Kula style twice every year. During the workshops, students are given training in the natural surroundings of temple premises, lakes and hills of the heritage places like Melukote, srirangapatna, etc.
  • Gurudev is also giving special training Dance, Music, Sanskrit, chanting of Bhagavatgita, Patanjali yoga sutras and other mantras for the foreign students.
  • A ‘Ta Dhi Thom Nam’ dance festival-The first sound from the Damaru of lord shiva is named to this festival as it gives stage to the budding artists.
  • Ta Na Dhi Ra Na Dance festival- This Dance festival gives an opportunity for the intermediate students to perform on stage.
  • Gurudev Festival- This is the main festival of the Year in which all the students of Gurudev irrespective of their age participate. In this festival ‘opportunities are also given to the artists of other Institutions through out the Country. On this occasion, Gurudev conducts State and National level Classical Dance, Music and painting competitions. National and International level Artists and Art promoters are felicitated and Conferred Gurudev awards on this Grand occasion.
